Communications Center Stories
By Keith Seabourn
In parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Campus Crusade for Christ staff employ a holistic approach to technological ministry. It's called the Communications Center.
A couple of highlights from this area:
A man was listening to radio programs and reading some writings from a Communication Center. He was in contact with this center and they sent him a New Testament bible. Soon after receiving the Bible, the man had a dream where a man dressed in white said to him, "You are to become a child of God." The man awoke shaking in fear. The next day he told an Islamic leader who told him, "This is Satan speaking. Burn the gospel." The man went home and burned his new Bible, however, one part would not burn. It was John 1:12 which reads: "to all who believe in Him he gives the right to become a child of God." So he did.
One strategy of the Communication Center is to send birthday cards to everyone who has ever contacted them. One man wrote back after receiving his card, "It is obvious that the person in the Communication Center loves me because you sent me a birthday card."
A woman who watched the JESUS film from a satellite broadcast telephoned the Communications Center. At the end of the movie, text comes on the screen in her language that talks about Revelation 3:20 where Jesus says that if she will open the door, He will come in. So she got up, walked to the door and opened it. A bright light and tremendous energy source filled the room. When she came to her senses some time later, she called the Communications Center. She and her husband prayed to receive Christ.
